A rare collector’s gem for followers of Waldorf education and Anthroposophy. This vintage edition of "A Man, A Maiden and a Tree: A Christmas Mystery-Play" by acclaimed storyteller Isabel Wyatt was published by The Michael Press in Stroud, England.
A standout feature of this volume is the stunning full-color watercolor "Art Plates" by the renowned artist and occultist Eleanor C. Merry. The book features a vibrant blue cardstock cover with elegant gold-tone metallic lettering. Based on medieval English Mystery-Cycles, this piece is both a functional script and a beautiful work of mid-century esoteric art. Perfect for collectors of rare plays or fans of Eleanor Merry’s unique color theory and illustrations.
Item condition: Vintage Condition. The exterior blue cover shows minor age-related wear. Internally, there is significant foxing (brown spotting) and yellowing on the pages and the inside of the covers, which is common for paper of this era. The art plates remain vibrant.
