All pieces are signed, and the signature appears to be "Sam Sahl" or possibly "Sam Saxl". Dates are between 1956 and 1961.

These pieces are from the personal estate of jazz musician and actor Phil Gordon, best known for his recurring roles on The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction and his recordings with the Page Cavanaugh Trio for Decca Records. He performed regularly at Hollywood clubs throughout the 1950s and 60s.
