This is a rare 1926 commemorative hardcover book titled "Through Ninety-Five Years," published by the Canal Bank and Trust Co. of New Orleans to celebrate its 95th anniversary (1831–1926). Designed and prepared by Bauerlein, Inc., this volume serves as a historical and economic profile of New Orleans during the mid-1920s.
It features vintage illustrations of the New Orleans financial district ("The Wall Street of the South") and Canal Street, alongside text detailing the city's role in the cotton and sugar industries. The book features a blue-grey textured cover with a gold-stamped title and a yellow cloth spine. As an ex-library copy from the Fairhope Public Library, it contains various stamps, library markings, and adhesive residue where a pocket was removed.
Item condition: Fair (Ex-Library). The interior has significant paper loss and adhesive staining on the front endpapers from library pocket removal. The exterior shows edge wear and has black library tape on the spine. Pages show light toning consistent with age.
